Hair Care Guide
Your Coûteuse bundles are an investment in beauty, confidence, and power. To make them last—and keep them looking as rich as the day they arrived—follow our signature care guide below. Whether you’ve chosen virgin or raw hair, proper maintenance makes all the difference.
1. Before Installation
• Co-wash your bundles using a sulfate-free conditioner (no shampoo).
• Let them air dry completely before styling or installing.
• Avoid cutting wefts to reduce shedding.
2. Daily Care Routine
• Gently brush hair starting from the ends and working up to the root.
• Use a wide-tooth comb or paddle brush. Avoid fine-tooth combs.
• Apply a light leave-in conditioner or serum to keep strands hydrated and frizz-free.
3. Washing & Deep Conditioning
• Wash your bundles every 2–3 weeks or as needed based on buildup.
• Use sulfate-free, moisturizing shampoos and follow up with a deep conditioner.
• Always detangle before washing.
• Let air dry or use a blow dryer on a cool setting.
4. Styling Tips
• Yes, you can use heat — but always use a heat protectant.
• For curls or waves, use flexi rods or a curling wand on low heat.
• Avoid excessive heat, bleaching, or coloring at home (opt for professional services).
5. Night Routine
• Always wrap or braid hair before bed to prevent tangling.
• Sleep on a silk or satin pillowcase, or wear a silk bonnet.
• Never go to bed with wet or damp hair.
6. Dos & Don’ts
DO:
• Co-wash your bundles before the first install
• Gently detangle from ends to roots
• Store your hair in a silk bag or clean dry space
• Treat your extensions like your natural hair — with patience and care
DON’T:
• Use harsh, sulfate-based shampoos
• Yank or aggressively brush the hair
• Sleep with hair unwrapped or wet
• Toss your bundles into drawers or plastic bags
